Hello Party People

And welcome to OTHERLETTERS, a non-naff party and gift shop founded by sisters-in law, Linda and Debbie.  We offer everything you need to celebrate and party – including the best garlands, balloons, decor, and tableware plus a fabulous selection of gifts and cards  - all lovingly sourced from around the world.

 

The ‘cherry on the cake’ is our bespoke offering – we create bespoke banners, caketoppers, place names, and even straws in the studio at the back of the shop.  These bespoke products turn a normal celebration into a more personal event that is all about the party person. 

 

So why did we start OTHERLETTERS? With 8 children between us, parties are fairly frequent, and back in the day we were frustrated by generic and naff party goods offered by the usual suspects, and we wanted to make birthdays personal and special again. And so our journey began….

 

We started on the kitchen table, creating bespoke glittery banners between school runs. And then the fun task of sourcing cool party bits and pieces to make celebrations fabulous got under way. We quickly outgrew the kitchen (then the shed) and when got the opportunity to open a store in the heart of our community  - we grabbed it. Our store is housed in an old foundry in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex and shares its home with an amazing coffee shop, The Hatch. So if you can, pop down and see us and we'll get you party ready.
